Intel vs AMD Processors

Intel vs AMD Processors Review

Intel and AMD are the main manufacturers for computer processors around the world. Moreover, they are very competitive rivals and offer similar technology. However, the question arrives which is better?

Intel processors are considered to be the most powerful processors on the market. However, they come at a more expensive price than their rival, AMD. The computing power Intel offers comes from a bigger L2 Cache memory size and a higher advertised clock speed.

Flaws:

Intel processors generally get hotter faster than their rivals and comes at a more expensive cost than its competitor. However, when one gets to the higher priced processors $150+, its outperforms AMD's best Phenom II processor.

AMD

AMD offers more bang for the buck rather than performance. For example, its 50 dollar processor matches Intel's 70 dollar processor. In other words, its cheaper and offers the same amount of performance in the lower price ranges.AMD logo

In addition, its hard to compare the two because they use different types of technology to deliver similar results. Intels advertised 2.4 speed is in reallity the same speed as Intels 2.66 Ghz processor.

Conclusion:

Intel processors win on the high end of the processing market, while AMD wins on the low end. In the middle, it's a toss up between the two and in reality it won't make a big difference in computing power.
