CMS Clients Comparisons

There are many Content Mangagement Systems (CMS) that deliver a powerful interface and the ability to manage a large website. Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal are the most popular CMS However, the question arises which of the aforementioned is the best?

Joomla

Joomla is a popular CMS client that allows easy back end content management and offers an extensive library of modules and plugins for customizability.

It allows for an easy change of templates and themes. In addition, there is a small learning curve for Joomla and is very customizable from the back end.The Caveman Reviews utilizes Joomla for its easy interface and its ability to be highly customizable and user friendly.

Wordpress 

Wordpress is a state-of-the-art publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

More simply, WordPress is what you use when you want to work with your blogging software, not fight it. However, Wordpress does not offer the customizablitity of Joomla and Drupal, and power both of these CMS clients. In addition, Wordpress functions more as a blog rather than a complete website but offers an easy learning curve and simple customization.

Drupal

Drupal is a free CMS software client that allows for deployment and customization of websites.  

It is used as a back-end system for at least 1% of all websites worldwide, ranging from small personal blogs to large corporate and political sites, including whitehouse.gov and data.gov.uk. It is also used for knowledge management and business collaboration.

The standard release of Drupal, known as Drupal core, contains basic features common to most CMSs. These include the ability to register and maintain individual user accounts within a role-based permission / privilege system, create and manage menus, RSS-feeds, customize page layout, perform logging, and administer the system. As installed, Drupal provides options to create a classic brochureware website, a single- or multi-user blog, an Internet forum, or a community website providing for user-generated content.

Summary

There is no best CMS client. If one wants to make an easy to build website, many choose Joomla for their back end administration and easy customization. If one looks to blog consistantly, Wordpress might be the best client. If one wants the best of everything, Drupal might be the best option, however, it has a steep learning curve and back end admistration is not very user friendly.
